Deary diary, what a day it's been...
...it's been just like a dream...
...sleep has become much more restful for Trish & I both, now that we have a new bed. It took over 300 buckadingdongs, as we had to pay a delivery fee, but with the combination of a firmer mattress & the changes in my pharmacopoeia, I've been able to sleep until 7:00, most days.
However, this morning a brief power surge managed to shut off the alarm clock, telephone ("to receive set-up instructions..."), & clicked the printer on & off. Having been awake anyway, I got Trish up to take her pill, then sent her back to bed.
Then, while I worked on the computer, the whole house went dark. Waking to a purple sky & rain, we did manage to eat a bowl of Cheeri-o's & a bagel.
I went over to the new neighbors to see if the power had gone off there, too, but no one answered my knocking. Then, just when we were planning to run over to McClean's & use the phone there to call the power company, everything turned on.
Fred came over yesterday, while I did several different renditions of Crystal Ship. After supper we watched the season finale of Battlestar Galactica, which we'd recorded Sunday night. What a cliffhanger! & no new episodes until 08! Can we really wait that long?
